Want to be taken for a Ride?  In the nicest possible way of course! As part of our commitment to the local community and in keeping with our status as an Educational Charity, we are repeating our last “Sunday of the Month” free public services along Southsea Sea Front during the Summer of 2010. This is subject to securing sponsorship to cover our costs as we are not permitted to collect fares for these services, nor to solicit donations on the vehicle. We have a special event planned for Sunday 11th July when we aim to have a large number of former Portsmouth buses running in free service that day. Buses operate between The Hard (Dockyard) and Eastney with usually a display of vehicles at the Castle car park.  Services run on the last Sunday of the month and on August Bank Holiday until the end of September If you have a local business and would like to support us in these activities, we would be pleased to discuss advertising opportunities on our vehicles. Trips for our Friends Going to Bus Rallies If you are going to a bus rally locally, it’s always worth checking to see if any of our vehicles are attending as you can then come along on the bus. We usually have something going to most of the major shows in the local area, including the FoKAB Running Day in Winchester, the Alton Bus Rally and the show at Gosport. Plus, one of the vehicles always attends the Isle of Wight Bus Museum Running Day and Rally and we usually arrange a group booking for our members who wish to come along - which has the added benefit that we can usually get the bus on the ferry for free SUMMER 2010 Sunday services   Our FINAL day of running for 2010 will be SUNDAY 26th September. We hope to return in 2011. YOUR DONATIONS WILL HELP MAKE THIS POSSIBLE
